Representatives of the European Passengers` Federation (EPF) met with IRG-Rail to debate sector challenges

On the 19th of May, IRG-Rail Presidency together with Working group Co-chairs held a video conference with EPF that was represented by Mr Josef Schneider, the Chairman of EPF.

EPF is an association of passenger organisations and organisations promoting sustainable mobility. EPF also publishes different position papers (http://www.epf.eu/wp/position-papers/) committed to improving standards for passenger rights on public transport and long-distance international rail services in Europe.

At the meeting, IRG-Rail presented the recently adopted 10th Annual Market Monitoring Report, which also contains passenger transport statistics. The issue of multimodality, with emphasis on tickets, information and multimodal passenger rights, was also discussed. EPF and IRG-Rail agreed to organise another meeting focusing on a particular topic within the following months.
